Account Payable/Payroll Specialist

We are currently seeking an Account Payable/Payroll Specialist to assist in the overall function of the Business Office.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Employee time and attendance hourly calculation, processing and monitoring
  • Bi-monthly Payroll processing
  • Calculation and input of Employee Health Insurance and Other Benefits
  • Proper calculation and posting of Employee Sick and Vacation Accruals
  • Timely processing of Vendor Invoices and Payments (Cash Disbursement)
  • Proper coding of Expenses (SNF and Sub-Acute)
  • Proper allocation and accrual/prepayment of Expenses
  • General Ledger entries

Work with or support the Business Office Manager in planning all aspect of Business Office functions to include interface with all other disciplines and department. May assist with the management of records, budgets and supplies.

Requirements:

  • Must have an Accounting experience or related field.
  • Knowledgeable PointClickCare , Microsoft Office Applications, Paychex -Preview Payroll and Paychex-Time And Labor
  • Knowledgeable in Accounts Payable and Payroll
  • Related administrative experience at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
  • Experience in a skilled nursing facilities setting preferred and/or Sub-Acute.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
  • Highly organized, able to multi-task and attention to details
  • Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents, families and to work cooperatively with other associates.
  • Basic understanding of computer technology, including email use.
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
  • Must meet all local health regulations, and pass post-employment physical exam if required.

Certified Nursing Assistants

We are currently seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to perform direct resident care duties in our sub-acute and long-term care units. Full-time positions. Hiring for all shifts: AM (7am – 3pm), PM (3pm – 11pm), NOC (11pm – 7am). Candidates must be willing to work weekends and holidays.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Certified Nursing Aide in good standing with the state. Must maintain a current certification in the state throughout employment.
  • Must achieve 12 hours of in service education annually as required by federal regulations (as well as meet state requirements, if exceeds federal).

Full-Time Social Worker

Amberwood Gardens is looking for a Full-Time Social Worker to assist in meeting the psychosocial needs of residents/families, to assist them in coping with problems related to illness and disability, and to enable residents/families to utilize medical and support services available in order to achieve their optimal level of functioning.

POSITION RELATIONSHIP:

Performs social service functions, as a member of interdisciplinary team, liaison to advocacy agencies, and support resource to residents, families and peers. Accountable to the Clinical Manager of the Unit for day to day operations and social services activities, to assure compliance with the regulatory agencies such as California Department of Public Health, Title 22, OBRA and The Joint Commission.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Professional:

  • MSW in Social Work or its equivalent in a Human Service related field is preferred or equivalent related experience. Social Service related experience in a health care setting desirable, such as acute care and/or rehabilitation. Experience in the provision of Social Service in LTC/SNF preferred. A working knowledge of basic services provided by various health and welfare organizations in the community. Clinical experience working with individuals, families and groups. Knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age of the residents served. Computer skills and knowledge of basic computer programs (must be able to prepare individual/departmental reports as position requires). Current CPR certification, if required by the facility assigned to.
